"Indian" Jack
Jack was one of four boys raised by a single mother, who in his words, was
“fabulous!” Jack remembers feeling God’s hand on him as early as 6 months when he was hospitalized with pneumonia. His family was very involved in the church as was he. Jack says he doesn’t pray for himself because he knows that God has him wrapped in his arms; he feels covered completely by God’s love and protection so he focuses on praying
for others.
Several years ago, Jack was very sick and had lost a tremendous amount of weight; even still, he was helping a neighbor burn weeds in his yard when he suffered 2nd and 3rd degree burns on his feet. He visited Acacia Medical where he was given antibiotics that not only helped his burns, they completely restored his health!
Jack believes that God led him to the Hope Center and he credits Acacia and the Hope Center as a life saver to him. He loves the atmosphere of the Hope Center and raves about how caring the volunteers and staff are. “They are willing to do whatever it takes to improve the quality of life of its clients,” he says.
Jack is also willing to do whatever it takes…no matter what stage of life he is in or what struggles he’s experiencing, he is always helping others and his love for his fellow man radiates through him!
