Casie

Casie came to the Hope Center for the first time around 2020. She was working as a
Cardiovascular nurse but had been down with Covid and as a result was not receiving any income. On her first day back to work after recovering, she fell and broke her knee keeping her out of work for another 90 days. Her first visit to the Hope Center brought her to tears and she felt extremely embarrassed. Both Marie and Teresa told her those feelings were unnecessary and not only helped her through the ministry but also personally helped her emotionally and spiritually. She says that they continue to be a source of support for her.

Although Casie was brought up in church by her grandmother, Carole, and felt she had a strong faith in God, she wasn’t leaning into Him. The Hope Center brought her back to a personal relationship with God which she treasures immensely.

Casie is a hard worker, who just fell on hard times. The Hope Center was able to be a bridge for her in those moments…through the food pantry and financial assistance, Casie was able to sustain herself during her time away from work. Now she’s back to working full time! Her schedule is jammed packed and she’s working 12 hour days in the hospital. She doesn’t need The Hope Center’s help anymore, but she does make time to volunteer with the hopes of giving back to the people that helped her and supporting others who just need a hand up.
